The aims of the group are to:
The Warrington Support Group for people who stammer also come under the umbrella of the main Charity Organisation, Stamma, formally the BSA – The British Stammering Association), which has its head office in London.
We have all agreed the following Vision, Mission and Values statement:
Our vision:
- Support each other in a safe and secure environment, help you to help yourself, discuss issues and concerns around stammering
- Reduce the fears associated with stammering
- Offer advice, information, where to get more help and possible grant-aided training courses
- Practice any speaking techniques using speaking circles and role-play
